User Guide for Online GIF Editor

Welcome to the Online GIF Editor! Create stunning GIFs with text, emojis, and animations effortlessly. This guide will walk you through every step to unleash your creativity.

Getting Started

The Online GIF Editor is a browser-based tool that lets you customize GIFs with text, emojis, and imported GIFs. No software installation is needed—just open the editor and start creating!

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access the Editor

Open the GIF Editor in your browser (works on desktop and mobile). The canvas is your workspace, and the toolbar at the top provides all the tools you need.

Tip: For the best experience, use a modern browser like Chrome or Firefox. On mobile, tap the canvas to interact with elements.

Step 2: Add Text

Click the Add Text button in the toolbar to insert a text box on the canvas.

  • Customize: Adjust font size, color, and font style using the toolbar options.
  • Animate: Choose an animation (e.g., bounce, fade) from the “Text Animation” dropdown.
  • Move: Click and drag the text to reposition it.

Step 3: Add Emojis

Click the Add Emoji button to open the emoji picker. Select an emoji to add it to the canvas.

  • Resize: Use the “Text/GIF Size” slider to adjust the emoji size.
  • Animate: Apply animations via the “Emoji Animation” dropdown.
  • Position: Drag the emoji to place it where you want.
Note: Some animations may not display correctly on older devices. Test your GIF before saving.

Step 4: Import a GIF

Click the Import GIF button and upload a GIF file from your device.

  • Scale: Adjust the size using the “Text/GIF Size” slider.
  • Transform: Drag the corners to rotate or resize the GIF.
  • Layering: Use “To Front” or “To Back” buttons to arrange the GIF relative to other elements.

Step 5: Edit and Delete Elements

Click an element (text, emoji, or GIF) to select it. Blue handles will appear for resizing or rotating.

  • Delete: Click the Delete Selected button in the toolbar to remove the selected element. On mobile, tap the element and then press “Delete Selected.”
  • Undo/Redo: Use the “Undo” and “Redo” buttons to revert or restore changes.
Tip: To delete multiple elements, select and delete them one by one, or use the “Clear Canvas” button to start over.

Step 6: Save Your Creation

Once your GIF is ready, save it in your preferred format:

  • Save GIF: Exports an animated GIF with all animations preserved.
  • Save PNG/JPG/WEBP: Exports a static image of the current canvas.

Click the corresponding button (e.g., “Save GIF”) and download the file to your device.

Tips for Best Results

  • Keep it Simple: Too many animated elements may slow down the editor, especially on mobile devices.
  • Preview Animations: Test animations by interacting with the canvas before saving.
  • Use High-Quality GIFs: Low-resolution GIFs may appear pixelated when scaled up.
  • Check Compatibility: Some fonts or animations may not render correctly in certain browsers.

Troubleshooting

  • Element not deleting? Ensure the element is selected (blue handles visible) before clicking “Delete Selected.”
  • Canvas not responding? Refresh the page and try again. Ensure your browser is up to date.
  • Save button not working? Check your internet connection and try a different format (e.g., PNG instead of GIF).
